Our Story

How Megher Bari Came to Life

Megher Bari — literally "House of Clouds" — was born from a dream: to share the extraordinary beauty of Rishop with the world. Over a decade ago, our founder, deeply rooted in this misty mountain village at 7,200 feet in Kalimpong district, transformed the family home into a welcoming retreat for travellers seeking authentic Himalayan experiences.

What began as a couple of guest rooms has grown into a cherished 6-room homestay, lovingly maintained with traditional warmth, modern comforts, and an unwavering commitment to creating memories that last a lifetime.
